GOD MODE

Control the game. Or lose your life.

FORMAT

Groups of 5 or 6 freestylers. One single chance to reach glory.

  • Each participant starts with 3 lives and must defend them throughout the competition.
  • Every round is about survival: losing a battle means losing one life.
  • When a freestyler loses all their lives, they are eliminated from the competition. No second chances.
  • The competition continues within each group until only one freestyler remains:
the last one standing will be the group winner.
  • The initial order of participation will be determined by a random draw, including a seeded system.
  • This order will remain unchanged throughout the entire battle.
    •

ROUND FORMAT

  • Each battle is 1 vs 1 (single round).
  • Each freestyler has 20 seconds per round, starting from the moment they begin their attempt.
  • The freestyler cannot finish their round until the speaker calls “5 seconds”.
This signal indicates that the final phase of the round has begun.
  • During the last 5 seconds, freestylers are allowed to take risks, as mistakes made within this time window will not result in losing a life.
  • If a freestyler finishes their round before the “5 seconds” call, they will automatically lose one life.

COMPETITION DYNAMICS

  • The initial order of freestylers is determined by a random draw incorporating a seeded system.
  • The first battle is started by the second freestyler in the lineup, facing the first.
  • The winner stays on stage and faces the next freestyler in the lineup.
  • Each new battle is always started by the incoming freestyler, not the previous winner.
  • Judges decide the winner of each battle:
    • The loser loses one life.
    • The winner keeps their lives and continues competing.
  • This process repeats continuously until only 3 freestylers remain.

LAST 3 FREESTYLERS

  • When only 3 freestylers remain, they will form a circle, maintaining the previously established order.
  • From that point on, each round will be started by one player, following a clockwise direction.
  • At the end of each round, only one freestyler will lose a life.
Judges will indicate their decision by raising their hand.
  • Freestylers will keep the lives they had upon entering the final round.
  • The battle continues until two freestylers are eliminated, leaving one final champion.

AUTOMATIC LIFE LOSS & END OF ROUND

  • If a freestyler completely loses control of the ball, including:
    • The ball bounces multiple times on the ground, or
    • The ball moves several meters away from the player’s control,
  • The round ends immediately, even if the opponent has not performed their turn.
  • The freestyler automatically loses one life, without the need for a judge’s decision.
  • The next battle starts immediately with the following matchup in the lineup.

STRATEGIC WILDCARD

  • Each freestyler has one wildcard, which can be used once during the competition.
  • When activated, the winner of the battle will start the next round, instead of the incoming freestyler.
  • This allows freestylers to break the standard rotation and control the flow of the battle.
  • Using the wildcard forces the current player to start again immediately, potentially under fatigue, while the opponent begins the round and may make a mistake and lose a life.

JUDGING SYSTEM

  • Judges must indicate their decision by pointing with their arm at the freestyler who loses a life.
  • This decision will only take place when both freestylers complete their round without mistakes.
  • Judges are required to make a quick decision in order to maintain the flow and intensity of the competition.
  • The evaluation is based on the following criteria:
    • Difficulty
    • Risk
    • Response
    • Stage presence
  • Stage presence includes interaction with the crowd, the music, the overall atmosphere, as well as the attitude and energy transmitted by the freestyler.

No hesitation. No discussion. Just a decision.
